New Chapter® is a Vermont-based vitamin and supplement company with a deeply held mission to revolutionize natural wellness. Since 1982, they’ve been raising the bar to make supplements that your body can really, truly absorb. That means sourcing excellent quality ingredients from where they grow best.
New Chapter®’s concern for the planet is expressed not only through their sourcing and formulation principles but also with every action they take as a company. They are proud to be a Certified B Corporation, which means they define success in holistic terms that encompass not just profit but people and Earth too.
New Chapter is proud to join the Certified Carbonfree Program and to feature carbon neutral products as part of their ongoing sustainability mission. New Chapter sees this as the critical next step in their 40+-year journey as an ethical, responsible, and planet-friendly business.
Certified Carbonfree Products go through a rigorous life-cycle assessment. Carbon emissions are calculated from field to shelf (“carbon footprint”), and then neutralized through carbon offset and reduction programs. When you know the carbon footprint of a product, it can be canceled out or “neutralized.” In other words, for every unit of carbon that has been emitted, an equal amount is reduced through programs like wind turbines and reforestation projects. The result? An overall neutral impact on the environment. Carbon emissions, also called greenhouse gas emissions, trap heat in the atmosphere and are linked to global climate change. Climate Change affects communities, agriculture, water availability, weather systems, and the whole balance of our planet.
Carbonfund’s Carbonfree Product Certification Program is proud to be part of Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly Program! All of New Chapter®’s products registered in the Carbonfree Product Certification Program will become part of the Amazon Climate Pledge Friendly Program.
